Residential Glamour Mood Board

Ever felt that tension, that inexplicable urge to share when you had something good? :) Despite of the ever-increasing number of interior review that I did in my magazine, Livingetc Indonesia and this blog, it has become quite a rare occasion to be in the exact excitement and joyfulness as I had in my professional interior design project.

I'm working on an interior project in Bintaro and just want to share the mood board ideas with you. My client asked me to design her headboard and side table in her main bedroom, kids room, shoes cabinet and also wardrobe under the stair area.

The owner had very unique personality. This young mother of two loves the Hollywood-style interior with mirror accents, textures and velvet, the point is 'Midas Look', Maximalist to the Max. Interior wise, it tries to resemble the feel of a Hollywood Hotel with a classic touch. So I try to represented the glamor ideas with very rich pattern, gold scheme color and a lot of padded wall accents.

What strike my attention at first was when she asked me to create mirror shoes cabinet. Will placed strategically in the heart of the living room, so I have to create something stood out with it's glamour facade, and of course with the expensive look texture.

Somewhere along this glamours point, I was reminded that a kids bedroom have to feel like a kids room. So I had special design made for her by mixture pink pallete with little princess touch. And there goes another velvet fabric of padded wall and chairs for a pretty happy mind.

By the end of the design, I was so full with a maximalist style. I even had three type of gold and velvet for the fabric. You can feel the glamours home taste so amazingly different from the casual ones.
